April 23, 1958 – June 5, 2025

Michelle Sue Huey, age 67, of Carrollton, GA passed away June 5, 2025.

A devoted public servant, Michelle dedicated her life to protecting and strengthening her community. She served with distinction in the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for over 28 years, most notably in the Narcotics Division, where her commitment and courage made a lasting impact.

Outside of her work in law enforcement, Michelle was also a gifted writer. She found joy and fulfillment in storytelling, and proudly published a crime novel that reflected both her creativity and deep understanding of justice.

Michelle will be remembered for her fierce dedication, sharp mind, and integrity. She touched many lives through her service, her words, and her kindness.

Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Norma Huey. She is survived by her brothers, Michael Huey, Joey Huey, and Lanny Bragg as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 11 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Thursday, June 12 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with a celebration of Michelle’s life in the chapel of Whitley Garner Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 am.

Whitley Garner at Rosehaven is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements of Michelle Sue Huey.

8000 Capps Ferry Rd.
Douglasville, GA.
